Opening Soon: 2011 Camaro Convertible

The 21st century rebirth of the Chevrolet Camaro will open a new chapter when the 2011 Camaro Convertible premieres at the Los Angeles International Auto Show on November 17, 2010.  The Camaro Convertible will first appear in Chevrolet showrooms in February 2011 with an MSRP starting at $30,000.

The Convertible will be available in the same basic model offering as the Camaro Coupe-a standard 312 horsepower Direct Injection V6 model with an EPA estimated 29 MPG highway, and the legendary SS model featuring the 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 426 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, with an optional six-speed automatic.

The Camaro is Chevrolet's sport coupe that returned to the lineup early in 2009 as a 2010 model after a seven year absence. Originally debuting as a 1967 model, the Camaro was Chevrolet's entry into what would later be called the "pony car" segment and although the new Camaro is a modern design with modern technology, it boasts styling cues that connect it with well-known Camaro designs from the past. Although it has always been available with options to suit a wide range of sports-coupe buyers, performance has been what the name Camaro brings to mind for most people. The Camaro continues the muscle-car tradition as a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe with available V8 power.The OnStar advanced communication system comes standard on all Chevrolet Camaros.
